The Need
Caregivers have a vital role in our society and face growing challenges. According to the Guardian's 12th Annual Workplace Benefit Study (2023), approximately 100 million US adults serve as caregivers for children, parents, or other relatives. Many of these caregivers, predominantly women, juggle their responsibilities without adequate training, fair wages, or benefits, leading to high turnover rates and significant impacts on their physical and mental health.
While the internet offers a wealth of information, navigating this vast resource can be daunting and time-consuming. Resources for Caregivers (R4C) was created to bridge this gap by curating accurate, reliable resources and providing affordable services tailored to each caregiver's unique situation. Access to proven strategies and trusted information will enable caregivers to better handle the ever-changing demands of caring for vulnerable populations with confidence and compassion.

Our Story
Resources for Caregivers (R4C) was founded by sisters X and Y, two dedicated professionals with over two decades of experience in long-term adult care and early childhood development.
Spent more than 20 years working in various long-term care settings, initially as a social worker and later as a licensed administrator overseeing skilled care, assisted living, memory support, and adult day services. Her transition to academia allowed her to shape future administrators through curriculum development and teaching at a community college.

Throughout their careers, X and Y identified common challenges faced by caregivers, regardless of the age or developmental stage of those they care for. Motivated by their desire to make caregiving more manageable and effective, they envisioned R4C as an online platform dedicated to providing direct support to caregivers. By leveraging the tools and research they used in educational settings, they aimed to equip caregivers with the resources and confidence needed to thrive in their roles.
